• Inspired by "hikeshi banten" or traditional Japanese firefighter uniforms, Japan Blue's 11oz sashiko fabric is woven using sashiko threads on a robust cotton base. Dyed with rope indigo for a deep color, the fabric's texture intensifies with continued wear, revealing a spectrum of indigo-blues over time. Drawing influence from traditional Japanese kimono, the shirt adopts an open-placket design, complemented by two side seam pockets and a subtly elongated hem.
